$62.5 million grant from the Environmental Protection Agency

WEDC engaged GrantWin to develop a Solar for All EPA application for the state agency.

GrantWin was engaged as a technical assistance provider and grant writer to support this national nonprofit’s first and second applications to the U.S. Department of Energy (DOE).

Outcome:

DOE awarded the organization its first federal grant as a result of our grant writing and application management support. The client was awarded a $1,999,001 Weatherization Assistance Program Enhancement and Innovation grant and later a $702,301 DOE Advancing Workforce Equity grant.

Are your grant writers certified?

Our team of grant writers includes writers who received the Grant Professionals Certification from the Grant Professionals Certification Institute. Writers also include a grant reviewer who has reviewed federal grant applications for several federal agencies, a former nonprofit executive director, and a former nonprofit development professional.

How are grant writing projects managed and tracked?

Each engagement is managed in our project management system, giving clients visibility into timelines, milestones, and deliverables.

Who prepares the application budget?

Budgets are developed by the GrantWin team, either independently or in collaboration with your finance lead.

How long does the grant writing process take?

Depending on the scope and funding requirements, most federal and other government grant applications are completed within 4-8 weeks and can take over 100 hours to complete. Foundation grant applications are completed within two weeks and take between 15 and 20 hours to complete. Letters of intent (LOIs) can be completed in much less time.

Do you get a success fee if we are awarded?

The Grant Professionals Association considers success fees—payment contingent upon a grant proposal being awarded—to be unethical.
